Pantone is the world’s authority on colour. Their regular forecasts have a huge influence on the work of fashion, interiors and graphic designers. Every season Pantone creates the Fashion Colour trend report. Back in August we ran a post on the blog about the Pantone Autumn colour trends with rooms that featured the key colours from the London and New York Fashion week forecasts. It’s time to take another look at how the Pantone colour forecasts are influencing our interior design choices.
Colours seen on the catwalk are a key indicator of the colour stories we can expect to see across all areas of design. These are the key colours from London Fashion Week SS18 collections.
Consumers are continuing to embrace colour and designers are following the trend. Pantone describes the palette as “wildly divergent” and “a kaleidoscopic bounty of uplifting tones." Alongside these bold colours there is a seasonal classic palette, described as a foundational core for any wardrobe.
At first glance it looks like such an eclectic mix and it might be hard to imagine these colours coming together in an interior decor scheme. However after a browse through the latest lookbooks I've found some inspiring rooms and interiors products bringing these colours together

Starting with the brightest and boldest first. This bedroom styled with the Matthew Williamson range of bedding and cushions from Debenhams definitely picks up the mood of the season.

Alternatively what could be more spring like than the lovely shades of white, green and pink alongside floral designs in this bedroom seen at Amara.com.

Meanwhile Laura Ashley have built the colours of Spring into their traditional country style in this gorgeous room.

Finally on the hunt for accessories, I found these cushions at Oliver Bonas had perfect mix of the pinks, purples and blues that are found in the Spring season palette.
