We love hearing what our customers have to say and one of the best ways to do this is through polls, to get you involved and allow you to have your say on design, the services and on everything home-wares.
Our first competition this year granted one lucky winner a £100 discount voucher for our design services. This went to the fabulous Jenny who voted via our Twitter page @CreatePerfect.
Our second competition was inspired by our customers. Having launched our new party theming service earlier in the year, we found that several customers wanted on-trend rustic themed designs. As “rustic” means different things to different customers we wanted to a hold a poll to resolve the main point of contention: do you see lots of colour in the rustic style or should one always stick to completely neutral colours?
Entering the poll also entered you into the competition and we teamed up with Garden Trading to offer one winner selected at random the chance to win one of their gorgeous bothy troughs. These great rustic items are perfect for summer parties. Filled with artisan bread, fresh fruit, dried flowers or even candles, they make a perfect addition to any rustic dining spread.
When the results finally came in across Houzz, Facebook, Twitter and our website there was a clear favourite: the neutral colour palette. Full of charm, the relaxing and earthy tones of the neutrals stormed ahead with almost double the votes. So although there are some of us that love to liven parties up with a touch of colour, the people have spoken and called for the naturals to stay neutral.
Through Houzz we had a lot of love for both pallets, with 'The Bulb Co' advising how they love to add colour where ever possible and 'littlebrowncat' explaining how a fun party should be full of nice, bright and happy colours. For the neutral pallet, 'Amelia Designs' commented on how the neutral pallet would appeal to more tastes and 'Mags' told us how the earthy tones are closest to nature and so got her vote.
For me, I love soft candles stood delicately on logs of wood or in vintage glass jars, and rope rustically wrapped around delicate linen at our neutral decorated parties and I very much look forward to the next one.
There is something special and comforting about feeling close to nature so it is no wonder it is a popular theme for our customers.
The winner, Mags Korczak who voted through our website, was chosen at random late on the 1st August and was happy to hear she has won the bothy trough. She explained more about how the mood board and colours were reminiscent of a cycle path she cycles, full of nature and calmness.
A big thank you to Garden Trading whom we hope you all agree should be the first port of call when we’re thinking about dining alfresco. They offer a great range of products so be sure to check out their website. Also thank you to everyone that helped us answer this burning question and voted in our poll - we will definitely be calling on your again in the future.
