Heal's A/W 2016 Collection

Heal's bringing out a new collection is always a highlight for me. Not only are the designs beautiful, but their furniture generally has a very universal appeal which is testament to the designers and craftsman involved. As I'm sure you are aware, if there's something I can’t get enough of it’s great craftsmanship.

If this is the first you're hearing of Heal's, their story goes back to 1810 and the time of Napoleon Bonaparte and Jane Austen. They have a first class customer service and their beautiful flagship store can be found on Tottenham Court Road in London. We recently worked with Heals products in our Grand Designs room set and had a wonderful experience of both the staff and the products and we highly recommend them.

We wanted to use today’s post to give you a sneak peek in to the new collection arriving at Heal's this August.

The Collection

At first glance we see bold fresh colours and modern functionality oozing through the collection. Looking a little deeper we recognise some innovative new takes on classic designs. The familiarity of the Chesterfield warms our cockles as one of the timeless silhouettes of traditional styles brought into today’s spaces with their contemporary twists.

The Nimbus sofa is a clear high point for us, crying out to be sat or lounged on. Its generous proportions and contemporary lines make it ideal for sleek modern spaces, emphasised with its tailored finish. On top of its beautiful form, being modular makes it extremely versatile and compatible with the flexibility required by our contemporary spaces. From bijoux city loft apartment to large modernised Georgian town house, this piece will seem timeless and fitting for the interior.

Moving on to a traditional design we are pleased to meet the elegant and yet still fresh Victoria Chair. With ergonomic design and decorative button cushioning it is the perfect high-back chair to adorn a more classic interior. This piece is proudly made in Britain exclusively for Heal’s and comes in a variety of fabrics.

The pinnacle for us is the Balmoral sofa. A great example of contemporary meeting traditional, we love how the Chesterfield lines have been given a bold update with colour and a rich luxurious velvet. The generous button detailing and solid oak legs really bring this piece to life and it's stolen my heart.

If you find these pieces as appealing as we do you can find further details of the collection on Heal's website. If you'd like to discuss purchasing a piece through our concierge service or want to discuss how we help you to integrate these pieces into your home's design please get in touch.
